Located north of Route 70 west of the town of Edwards, the Cordillera Valley Club may seem like just another private community in Eagle County, but looks can be deceiving. While some of the other areas are subdivisions within any already established community, Cordillera really acts as its own separate community, taking care of its own in ways not common in such a setup. In fact, when looking at how it is run, you might think that you were looking at an incorporated town and not a housing development.

The whole community is run by McNeill Property Management but has two organizations that take care of the day to day administration: the Cordillera Valley Club Property Owners Association (CVCPOA) and the Cordillera Valley Club Metropolitan District (CVCPOA). In essence, the CVCPOA is responsible for protecting and preserving the intended use of the land within the community while enhancing its private and quiet character. The CVCPOA takes care of public works and infrastructure, such as the roads, and shares the responsibility of public safety with the CVCPOA. Again, sounding much like an incorporated town.

In addition to being very close to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the country, the Club itself has quite a bit to offer its residents. Golf is a major draw to this community and with its lower elevation can be played for longer than in other parts of the county. Pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, and other such sporting areas are available to all. While the 9 Iron Grill is located within the community, most dining and shopping can be done in the nearby towns of Gypsum and Edwards. In fact, its strategic location gives the Cordillera Valley Club access to just about all the best parts of Eagle County, regardless of your interests.
